Fun Painted Wine Glasses

Fun and easy painted glasses! I used the Lolita glasses for some inspiration - I love them - but making them myself is a lot more fun!

This winter I had a Christmas party with the 7 other girls in my house! I was in charge of the crafts - a good thing for me to be in charge of! :) I went out to a couple of thrift store and picked out an assortment of wine, martini, and champagne glasses ranging from 25 cents - 75 cents each. Add some paint and have fun! We used acrylic paint - is it safe to drink from? I don't know, I'm using mine for a jewelry holder in my bathroom!

All right - your turn! And please show me your creations if you paint one!! :)

Ta-ta for now! Partying here!

Winter Coats!!! My steal of a deal and a steal for you too!!

Last week I went shopping with the hubby and picked up this Express coat at a garage sale! I love it! :)
I'm almost excited for winter so that I can wear it! Now, I found this sweet deal at Totsy - and these coats are $15-$19 - a sweet deal especially since they were originally around $60! I can't decide if I should get one...especially since I just got a coat...but you can never have too many, right??

AHHH! So cute! Check them out here at Totsy - and shipping is free when you create a new account!! Hurry, they probably won't last long! (I posted about this deal on my CouponingTrolls blog - but had to share
 here too!)

Oreo Fluff Brownies!

I love to bake. But I can also be lazy....so I love using boxed mixes to make brownies, cakes, ect. It doesn't get much easier than that! But do you ever like to add a little something extra to make your brownies from a mix seem special? (And I'm not talking about ex-lax here people!)
I saw these delicious (and simple) brownies over at Inside BruCru Life and got started right way!Thankfully I was having friends over who helped me eat quite a few of them...because as much as I love them...I probably don't need to have the entire pan...

Looking for something creative to make with that brownie mix? Gather the following ingredients (plus what you need for the brownies - a couple of eggs, oil, and water) and mix up the brownie batter.
I was having fun with Picasa collages...so the next 5 steps are pictured...and written out for you...easy peasy! (sorry about steps 2 and 3, there was so much white there that no color looked good, but I think you're smart enough to figure it out)
(just in case you can't read the collage...)
  1. Lay quartered oreos over 1/2 of the batter
  2. Drop marshmallow fluff by the spoonfuls
  3. Throw some marshmallows on top
  4. Spread the rest of the batter on tap.
  5. Top with crushed oreos
Bake at 350 (preheated) for 25 minutes.
Find friends to share with so you don't gain 5 pounds and ENJOY! :)
Is it just me, or do these brownies look like they have bacon on them? haha...I promise it's all chocolatey goodness...no bacon. HOWEVER I have heard of chocolate covered bacon and it's supposed to be pretty good. Hmmm, maybe next time. :)

I would love to connect with you! :) Consider following me on facebook or twitter!

Tonight's Curb Side Treasures

So my DH and I were headed off to Jewel tonight to make some money on giftcards and we passed a coffee table on the side of the road. Surprisingly, DH turned around willingly and I hopped out of the car to check it out!
Decided against the coffee table...but next to it was a lovely little basket filled with hangers and a box full of picture frames! Now, I might be a garbage picker, but I'm kinda picky too so I started rummaging through the picture frames not wanting to grab the entire box! I found one picture frame that was still in the wrapper, so I grabbed that, along with the basket. (The basket had a lovely little Santa man candy bowl in it that I decided to leave behind. Who knows, maybe the garbage man will like it. haha)
I'm actually pretty excited about the hangers too because I'm using some cheap wire ones right now because I have too many lots of favorite shirts! :)
Ah! What a perfect place for the basket!!! The blankets are excited to have a home. Good thing I have an adorable little end table painted so beautifully that compliments my new basket!
Well, that's all for tonight! I love finding curb surprises!
