Wedding Items from VistaPrint!
Today I noticed VistaPrint is having one of their "everything's FREE" sales again - and I started to remember all of the cool things that I made for our wedding using VistaPrint!
First, to begin with, I made Save the Date postcards. I believe this cost me about $3.50 (in shipping) for 100 postcards! And I got to use one of our super cute pictures!
I used the postcards again to create our RSVPs to go with our invitations. I was planning on saving money on stamps by using postcards...but then I forgot to stamp the postcards anyway...haha, they still all made it back to us!
And I thought the back of the RSVP was fun! I enjoyed giving people a spot to write something fun - made them more fun to get back too!
And for the wedding invitations, I created address labels that had the same picture that we used for our Save the Date cards!
And of course I made a lot of fun things too, including calendars with all of our engagement pictures, and just recently with all our of wedding pictures!
I've also made countless gifts on VistaPrint as well! On one of my orders I got a wall calendar, a mug, a tote, business cards, and sticky notes for just $6.89 shipped!!!

Dollar Tree decor - wall stickers!
So I was wandering around blog land tonight and honestly saw the exact same project that I had made a while back with my dear friend Melissa and never blogged about! Seriously check out this sign at Loving Life - it's like we are twins separated at birth! :) I'm glad that inspired me to post - enjoy!
Anyway, so I'm not sure if you've ever noticed but the Dollar Tree has some pretty awesome stuff. I've picked up a few wall decal/stickers there to decorate our lovely apartment! Check it out.
This first one didn't take much work. I simply put the sticker above our photo canvas. LOVE!
This second one is just on a piece of wood from Lowes (Did you know they can cut the wood for you into any size you want?!) that I painted with leftover house paint, distressed the sides just a little bit, and then stuck it on! Seriously, it doesn't get too much easier! (I thought about adding some ribbon on the back to hang up - but haven't gotten around to it...and it looks cute on this little shelf!)

My DIY Wedding Card Album
So today I saw something on pinterest...and actually completed the project today! I'm usually not that on top of it! Check out my wedding card mini album totally copied from inspired by Something Turquoise!
So, for the last 5 months my wedding cards have been sitting in this lovely basket. I didn't know what to do with them! It's not like I could just throw them out - there are so many beautiful ones in there and some really nice notes from friends and family.
See! We got a TON of cards! What am I supposed to do with them all? Well, thank you wedding card album idea!
So, I went through and found the largest card. I then cut out some cardboard (from a cereal box) just a little bit larger than the larger card.
I then decorated the front of my album (you'll see this in the final pictures!)
The back I covered with solid sliver paper and attached the ribbon (leave plenty of room on both sides of the ribbon to make sure they are long enough) with two small brads.
Next, comes the hole punching. Thankfully Pysch was on while I was punching all of these cards so it didn't seem too awful. I punched one card and then marked where the circle should go on the rest so I could make sure they would all be even.
I tried to put them on a ring, but only about half of them fit, so I used some ribbon instead of an album ring. It works great as well!
The flower are ones that I have leftover from our $10 wedding programs. I attached 3 of them together with a silver brad. I had to add a picture - because I'm obsessed with pictures!The K and B were stickers I got from Pier1 - and the "+" sign is actually the pieces that came from the inside of the B!
LOVE! If you have any questions please ask! If you make one PLEASE share! I think I'll make these for the rest of my life. Just think - what a wonderful way this will be to store Christmas cards over the years. (And there won't be as many Christmas cards as wedding cards so it will be even easier!)

UPDATE: I added screen shots of the pictures so you can see my creations even if you don't have Mircosoft Silverlight - and if you do I left the Silverlight ones up as well since they're interactive and that's pretty cool too!

Wedding: DIY Mr. and Mrs. signs
So the night before my wedding (seriously, at like midnight) I decided I really wanted DI Y Mr. and Mrs. signs at our head table. I used supplies that I had on hand to make these signs for NO COST.
I had two pink signs framed with hearts (bought at Michaels on mega clearance after Valentine's Day by my Father-in-law) that I painted white. (Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the progress!)
Then I picked a font that I like and typed Mr. and Mrs. on my computer. I then free-handed it (the visual helped though - is that still free-handing?) using the opposite thin end of my paintbrush - it helped me actually make it look neat! I work best under pressure!
I then went to sleep and got a good night's rest! :) I brought the signs with me to the church the next morning where my girls and I got ready.
My dear friend and bridesmaid Elizabeth bejeweled my signs while we were getting ready in the morning with my favorite never ending supply of jewels I picked up at Hobby Lobby.
Love my jewels! And love my signs. I'm so happy with how they turned out - our table would have been so boring without them!

Because I just have to share: My wedding dress deal!
AHH! I'm so excited to be sharing this with you! :) In case you didn't already know, I just got married this June. I'm loving married life by the way. And so glad the planning is OVER and I can simply enjoy being married with my favorite person ever! :)
Anyway, as I'm sure EVERYONE knows - weddings can be terribly expensive. The perfect wedding dress alone can add up to quite a bit! I struggled a little bit with the thought of paying hundreds of dollars for a dress that I would wear one time. And yet I still wanted a beautiful dress that I could feel beautiful and special in. I went dress shopping a few times to get an idea of what I liked. Trumpet style. Some ruching. Sweatheart neckline. Little train. And anything that added a little extra something - didn't want my dress to be too simple and white.
Then I searched online. I searched Craigslist - like daily. It was during one of my daily Craigslist searches when I saw "the one". So, most brides have their "moment" when they try THE dress on - my moment was definitely on the computer when I saw this beautiful dress - which had never been worn - for just $50 - in downtown Chicago!!! I brought one of my dear friends and bridesmaid Rita Jo along and we headed over to a little Jewish neighborhood, met a sweet girl who had changed her mind on her wedding dress, tried on the dress, and walked out with a $650 dollar wedding dress (she still had the tags) for just $50!!!
So I bet you want to see it....
Yeah, I know...you really didn't need to see that many pictures to see what my dress looked like - but I wanted to make sure you got the whole picture! :) I loved my dress. It was perfect for me - especially since I get such a thrill saving money. It was hard for me not to share my sweet deal with everyone, but as I'm learning, not everyone likes to hear of such a great deal like that. Imagine that!! Well, that's why I have such great blog world friends that I can share this with! Thanks for reading!!!

Fun Painted Wine Glasses
Fun and easy painted glasses! I used the Lolita glasses for some inspiration - I love them - but making them myself is a lot more fun!
This winter I had a Christmas party with the 7 other girls in my house! I was in charge of the crafts - a good thing for me to be in charge of! :) I went out to a couple of thrift store and picked out an assortment of wine, martini, and champagne glasses ranging from 25 cents - 75 cents each. Add some paint and have fun! We used acrylic paint - is it safe to drink from? I don't know, I'm using mine for a jewelry holder in my bathroom!

Winter Coats!!! My steal of a deal and a steal for you too!!
Last week I went shopping with the hubby and picked up this Express coat at a garage sale! I love it! :)
I'm almost excited for winter so that I can wear it! Now, I found this sweet deal at Totsy - and these coats are $15-$19 - a sweet deal especially since they were originally around $60! I can't decide if I should get one...especially since I just got a coat...but you can never have too many, right??

Oreo Fluff Brownies!
I love to bake. But I can also be lazy....so I love using boxed mixes to make brownies, cakes, ect. It doesn't get much easier than that! But do you ever like to add a little something extra to make your brownies from a mix seem special? (And I'm not talking about ex-lax here people!)
I saw these delicious (and simple) brownies over at Inside BruCru Life and got started right way!Thankfully I was having friends over who helped me eat quite a few of them...because as much as I love them...I probably don't need to have the entire pan...
Looking for something creative to make with that brownie mix? Gather the following ingredients (plus what you need for the brownies - a couple of eggs, oil, and water) and mix up the brownie batter.
I was having fun with Picasa collages...so the next 5 steps are pictured...and written out for you...easy peasy! (sorry about steps 2 and 3, there was so much white there that no color looked good, but I think you're smart enough to figure it out)

Is it just me, or do these brownies look like they have bacon on them? haha...I promise it's all chocolatey goodness...no bacon. HOWEVER I have heard of chocolate covered bacon and it's supposed to be pretty good. Hmmm, maybe next time. :)

- Drop marshmallow fluff by the spoonfuls
